Our goal is to provide you with a user-friendly tool to obtain information about our agency. Please feel free to contact me or any member of my staff regarding any issues you may have concerning police-related matters. Our department consists of 64 employees. This total includes sworn officers, police dispatchers, administrative staff, animal control personnel, and support staff.
The Watertown Police Department is a state-accredited law enforcement agency. The Watertown Police Department is a community-oriented agency. We work hard every day to serve and protect our citizens in our daily practice. We embrace the community-oriented policing concept. It is our goal to provide exceptional service through a partnership with our community, keeping in mind that our best work often depends on your help.

The Watertown Police Detective Division is an active ICAC Task Force member, proactively investigating internet crimes. Our investigative focus is on the distribution of child pornography and the sexual solicitation of children through chat rooms, social networks, and other means. Our agency has the equipment and means to investigate these high tech crimes. We work with other area departments, state and federal agencies to accomplish these tasks.

The Watertown Police Department has created an email address Tips@watertownctpd.org for the community to share information with the department. This email address can be used to share videos, pictures and other information about potential criminal activity in the Watertown/Oakville community or any other issues the police department should be aware of.
